Who We Are
PRASA’s investment of over R11 billion in transport and infrastructure over the
past three years paid off with the successful conclusion of the turnaround plan
to arrest the decline of services, resulting in a marked improvement in train and
bus services. The successful staging of the 2010 FIFA World Cup is also a testament
to the strides made by PRASA. However, the inability of the government subsidy to
keep up with the ever-increasing cost of providing quality public transport services
has forced PRASA to come up with a new, innovative way of supplementing its funding.
In fact, that’s why Intersite Investments was formed.
Our objective is to raise additional revenue for PRASA by exploiting its non-operational
assets, which range from development rights at key stations, commercial buildings
and landholdings to residential properties.
The property management services that Intersite used to take care of are now handled
by PRASA CRES (Corporate Real Estate Solutions).
